Killer eyes
This ‘Killer eyes’ artwork is my very first step into digital painting and I can tell you that I like it very much, so there’s definitely more to come!
This work is part of a personal exploration into the relationship between identity, environment and transformation.
The portrait emerges from a structure of leaves, blurring the boundary between the human figure and its surroundings. Rather than depicting a fixed identity, the piece reflects a state of becoming - where the self is shaped, influenced and sometimes overtaken by external forces.
Coming from a background in architecture and project management, my work has long been defined by structure, control and clarity. This painting marks a shift toward a more intuitive process, where composition is still present, but less dominant. I am increasingly interested in what happens when control softens and space is given to growth, unpredictability and emotion.
The leaves can be read in multiple ways: as protection, as expansion or as a force that dissolves boundaries. This ambiguity is intentional. It reflects the complexity of personal evolution, where growth and loss often occur simultaneously.
